STUDENT LIFE!!!

Welcome readers to the first post that I made. Today the subject in this post is about .. What else but us the Students!! For a long time many people have thought why are the students doing different things. In the student group there are 2 types of people.
The first type of people are the nice students. To me they mean the "smart people" another meaning are those who listen to every word the teacher says and gets great scores. Another type of nice students are those who the teacher thinks are nice in class where that student doesn't do anything to make the teacher look bad.
The second type are the only thing left, The bad students. To me bad students are the lazy people who don't want to do much even if that person wants to pass the class or not. In teachers word, it is all the students that talk back to the teachers or those who make that teacher look bad at any point whether during a class or in front of another teacher.
Today my post would be based on all the students who are bad and why they are bad. One day i read on the news that there are alot of students who are not in class when they are suppose to be and alot of those same students are graduating on time. These students are mainly in high school and some freshmans in college.
So they say they are bad... Why?
Since a student is not in class why is that?
On February 27, 2007 there has been a report in the new York Times news paper and it is about the grades for the 12th graders in the unites states. It states that from the year 2002 there has been a drop in the grades of seniors in school. The average grade for reading is 35% and the math scores are 23%. This caused the government to pass a act called No Child Left Behind Act. Being in school now i know that everyone has heard of this act before somewhere no matter where. This was suppose to help us students but to ask what is it doing to help us. The only thing it ever did was to make people read the act then that was the end of it. Even though the act is still around nobodhy can fully explain what that act does and how it will help someone. This makes us student look bad since we don't know much about it and it doesn't do anything for us.
Another thing I found in the web was that there was a survey on a school in the US and it showed that alot of the students are bored in school. The teachers are saying that it is the students who are not trying and that it is all our fault. This made us student look really bad showing that we are the one to be blamed. If the reason that some students don't want to go to school is because that we are really lazy then it can be our fault but it is not always true.
The only way for me to defend us students now is that i blame the government on why we are doing this. The first reason I think we should blame the government is the funding for schools. As a student i have seen schools who are falling apart or has a ton of out dated books for students. This caused outrages for students who can't understand certain things and can cause "cutting school" . In a search on web, the Chancellor has set a grant on extra money being used for schools and the total was about 130 million dollars and yet this is 2007 yet nothing changes. schools still have outdates books and maps that fall apart. I wonder where the money is?
Another reason i think is still having to do with the funding. This funding for the school is not only for the students, based on the research teachers are also suppose to get more wages and yet the teacher union still can't get a fixed raise. This causes the certain teachers to give up on trying their best to teach. This raises the biggest problem in the schools now which is that the reason we students don't go to school is because we are very bored in class. With nothing new for the teachers to get from the school funding, the teachers are limited to their own resources causing the teachers to have a problem with their teaching styles. On a weblog, at writer has written a log about why the students in the world are doing bad and his/her main point is the teachers. I personally don't agree to it fully but there are some things that should be taken into consideration. This writer said that the main reason the students are bored in class is because THE TEACHERS ARE BORING. I know that not all teachers are boring but some teachers can be. The personal opinion shows that all teachers have their way of teaching but it is not always useful. each way can work but it will only work to a extent. In college most teachers have had their lessons put online so students can have it at home and this cause alot of student not to go to class yet these same students who come back for tests get a great grade so the teachers have nothing to worry about. This goes against the highschool way where a student has to listen to a teacher non-stop for approximately a hour and then die out once they finish listening.
In response to all the things i have posted today, my main point is the funding of the schools from the government that caused alot of the problems in the student life. We as students might be different but most of us still feel pressure whether it is boredom or something else. As long as the government tries i think alot of things can change yet right about now no matter how much they say they care about us students no full actions have been taken in order to help those who need it.
